The Observant is an investigations and capacity-building organization working for a human-centric internet ecosystem, where technology is accountable and aligned with human values. Information asymmetry exists among tech companies, policymakers, and users, where tech companies hold significant information and data, granting them disproportionate influence and power. To address this imbalance, we strengthen stakeholder capacity, conduct targeted investigative research on big-tech firms, and enhance public awareness for community-led technology governance.
